HPR Field Engineer  –  IL /WI/MI/ OH/KY/FL **REMOTE POSITIONS**

HPR Regional Account Engineer –   Boston/Houston

HPR Account Engineer, Power Gen Energy –  Chicago

Provide engineering oversight to the regional underwriting office for Energy Engineered Risk  and Commercial Property accounts as well as management of account activity for prospective, new and bound business. The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:  Support underwriters with Energy submissions by establishing account loss estimates to determine underwriting capacity, risk ratings to determine quality of risk, evaluate mandatory recommendation compliance, loss control service needs and costs. Provide engineering services that enhance underwriting performance in renewal and good quality new business acquisitions by advising underwriting on risk quality and for bound business reducing overall account loss potential by leading account risk quality improvements through risk assessments and risk improvement consultations. Assigns work to personnel, review completed reports, provide technical loss control assistance to engineers, clients, brokers and service providers, perform marketing functions on new and renewal business, and perform additional job functions as needed. Complete site visit inspection activity as required and document findings, utilizing company report formats to detail a variety of risk characteristics. Present recommendations for risk improvement and avoidance, detailing and analyzing exposures, and quantifying a set of uniform loss events. Prepare, deliver, evaluate, and review annual engineering reports and new business activities. Initiate timely and effective communication of the results of each site visit and provide follow-up to recommendations. Knowledge of ;all risk property loss control with experience in performing property field loss prevention activities in the Energy sectors of electrical power generation, i.e. Steam, Hydro, Wind, Solar Combustion turbine technologies and associated equipment. family. Candidate must have 10+ years All Risk Property/Boiler Machinery loss prevention experience, and have a full understanding of occupancy process, construction and layout, control and protection, management programs, fire protection and emergency response programs and loss producing exposures.  The Candidate should have proficiency in loss producing conditions resulting in loss i.e.- boiler, pressure vessel, rotating mechanical and electrical .  In addition control of loss producing exposures including requirements for fire protection (automatic sprinkler, deluge water spray, foam systems, alarms systems, etc.) layout and construction as well as familiarity with, Incident Investigations, Process Safety Instrumentation and Controls (SIS/SIL) and emergency shut-down systems, emergency relief venting, Mechanical Integrity including programs for inspecting pressure vessels, piping and storage tanks and Emergency Response. Wind uplift assessment, flood assessment, earthquake assessment, equipment risk assessment capabilities and other occupancy specialist skills are desirable.
